Terms & Conditions

These conditions shall apply to the Contract for providing the services to our clients/customers.

• 8InteriorDesign shall exercise reasonable care and competence and shall perform its duties in a professional manner.
• Any agreement between our clients/customers and us, and any dispute arising from that will be governed by the Laws of England and Wales.
• Clients/Customers shall comply with their obligations under the Construction (Design and Management) regulations, including the appointment of a competent Planning Supervisor. 8InteriorDesign shall also comply with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations where applicable.
• Clients/Customers will supply all necessary information, approvals and decisions to 8InteriorDesign for the proper and timely execution of the Project. If instructions are not complete 8InteriorDesign will not be responsible for ensuing delays.
• Clients/Customers will appoint and reimburse for the services of any other consultant as requested by the client. 8InteriorDesign will not be responsible in any way for the competence and performance of their services.  In certain circumstances where 8InteriorDesign employs a specialist or craftsman direct8InteriorDesign will be responsible for the proper execution of their work.
• Clients/Customers shall instruct the making of applications for planning permission and approval under the building acts, building regulations, health and safety regulations and other statutory requirements, and applications for agreement by freeholders or any others concerned with the project and whose permission is required.
• No right or licence is granted under the Contract to Clients/Customers under any patent, trademark, copyright, registered design or other intellectual property right except the right to use the services supplied. In particular the copyright of 8InteriorDesign in designs supplied remains with 8InteriorDesign.
• 8InteriorDesign shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from termination of appointment. Any such notice shall be given by either the Client or 8InteriorDesign in writing.
• Times and dates quoted for delivery of services or completion of any work are to be treated as an approximate estimate based on current trading conditions and 8InteriorDesign shall not be held responsible for delays outside its control.
• Clients/Customers are responsible for the insurance of their own goods.
• Clients/Customers are responsible for purchasing all the necessary goods and they are responsible for the cancellation charges.

8 Interior Design offers a complete range of interior design services, from helping you decorate and furnish a property to planning and implementing a full refurbishment. We meet you and view the property. Then we will find out what you are hoping to achieve, and we talk about target budgets and timescales. Together, we will formulate an initial scope of work that outlines the services you require. Then we will send you an estimate, along with an overview of our approach to your project.

Once appointed, we start by completing an in-depth questionnaire together to analyse your functional needs and tastes, to identify your aims and objectives for the project. We advise you on interior design styles, go through a range of images to propel things forward and outlines the parameters and scope of your project.

A concept design is created for each area. We are only concerned with creating a peaceful and exciting space, and we do this by taking everything we’ve learned about you and your property. All of this, along with our own inspiration/experience for new ideas will be pulled together into a presentation consisting of scale floor plans, realistic 3D visuals of the rooms, sketches and sample boards.

Once the broad concepts have been set, we will design each area in greater details. This usually includes wall elevations, lighting layouts and other drawings in order to properly convey the designs based on the previous stages and the relevant supplier and installer. At this stage a price list is also provided (wherever possible, with a trade discount) including all of the items and finishes plus estimates from contractors and other specialists for the work.

8 Interior Design offers a full project coordination service. Either we work alongside your preferred tradesmen, giving them advice on design-related matters when the need arises or our tradesmen implement the design and we oversee them to make sure everything runs smoothly and to a high standard.

If you prefer, we can only provide consultancy services. It starts with an initial chat about your project, we will arrange a site visit, and give advice and ideas as we walk around the property. We look at your environment more than just four walls and a lick of paint. Our consultancy services aim to boost your self-esteem, calm you down, make you more productive, and make your employees more energetic and creative or your customers buy more. Our advice and ideas are personalised to your tastes that also serve a functional purpose.

Maryam started her design movement by switching from mathematics to graphic design when she was 18 years old once she found out herself passionate about arts and colours! 

After taking her BA in Textile Design and Print, she realised how practical her textile knowledge could be in interior design, her main passion. Her BA thesis was about applying Indonesian Batik print technique into the modern interiors' decoration. Her thesis also covered an in-depth study on Paisley motif (the most popular ancient pattern across the world); Since then, she cares about every detail of a space, its meaning and effect on our every day life.

Finally by completing some interior courses and a MA Interior Design, she paved the way for her career route; Since 2011, she has been designing residential and commercial projects, from a room only to complete large scale refurbishment projects. She has the most up-to-date experience of modern trends in kitchen design, and able to produce bespoke designs for the most discerning customers.
